Terms and Conditions

 

Ethics and conduct

  • The Chocolate Fountain Guild will act in an ethical, respectful and dignified manner at all times: before, during and after the seminar towards all delegates attending the Seminar/Course.
  • The Chocolate Fountain Guild shall respect the wishes and rights of each of the delegates before, during and after the Seminar/Course with regard to sex, race, gender and learning ability.
  • It is expected that each delegate will actively particpate in all the discussions and activities planned for the Seminar/Course for the benefit of the delegate him/herself and fellow delegates.
  • Any verbal abuse, disruption of the Seminar/Course, physical or mental abuse to any person on the Seminar/Course by a delegate will not be tolerated and the delegate culprit will be asked to leave the seminar without recompense or recourse.

Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit of £182.50 shall be paid to The Chocolate Fountain Guild (cheque made out to: PFC Direct Limited) prior to the delegate's chosen date to reserve a place on the Seminar/Course.
  • The Chocolate Fountain Guild shall in writing confirm the receipt of the non-refundable deposit and acceptance of the date chosen by the delegate.
  • The balance of £182.50 shall be paid at the time of registration on the day of the Seminar/Course. Failure to pay the balance on the day will forfeit the right of the delegate to particpate in the Seminar/Course and the deposit.

Food and Drink

  • Morning coffee, afternoon tea shall be included in the Seminar/Course fee. This will be provided by the hotel and not by The Chocolate Fountain Guild.
  • Alcoholic drinks or 'extra' refreshments, other than water or refreshment facilities provided by the Hotel free of charge, shall be borne by the delegate.
  • All delegates shall act in a responsible manner throughout the Seminar/Course and will not indulge in any alcoholic beverages that will impair their concentration and or behaviour during the Seminar/Course. Failure to abide by this condition will result in the delegate being asked to leave the Seminar/Course without recompense or recourse.
  • During the morning session, depending on the needs and wishes of delegates, one or two Chocolate Fountains will be assembled and chocolate flowed through the machines by the delegates. Delegates may sample the dips on display and the Chocolate - provided all Health and Hygiene rules and regulations are followed and obeyed. Any abuse of these rules will result in the Chocolate Fountain machine(s) being turned off and all dipping shall cease. The culprit may be asked to leave the seminar without recompense or recourse.

 

Health, Hygiene and Safety issues

 

  • When and where appropriate, delegates will be provided with catering gloves. If requested, the delegates shall put on the said gloves. This action is for the safety of all participants.
  • All delegates will observe correct catering procedures where food handling (chocolate and dips) are concerned.
  • Delegates must disclose in confidence any allergies, diseases or health problems prior to the start of the Seminar/Course that may affect other delegates or the delegate's own performance during the Seminar/Course.
  • The Chocolate Fountain Guild shall observe all saftey procedures as far as humanly possible. It will also be the responsiblity of each delegate to adhere to common sense safety rules and regulations whether written, sign posted or taken for granted.

Seminar materials

  • Each delegate shall receive a Delegate Pack. The pack shall contain at a minimum:
    • A Binder with written Seminar/Course notes,
    • Information and reference material.
    • A CDROM with relevant data pertinent to the Seminar/Course
  • Each delegate will be provided with a note pad and pen in order to take notes if desired.

Cancellation

  • If for any reason The Chocolate Fountain Guild must cancel the chosen date for the Seminar/Course, a full refund or alternative date shall be given to the delegate. The delegate can chose to either accept the refund or an alternative date to attend another Seminar/Course.
  • If for any reason the delegate must cancel his/her attendance on their chosen date the non-refundable deposit of £182.50 will be forfeited. If The Chocolate Fountain Guild is able to fill the position before the Seminar/Course date, they may at their discretion refund all or part of the deposit to the delegate.

 

By the delegate paying a deposit for a place reservation on the Seminar/Course, it shall be understood the delegate is agreeing to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
