| Currently
there appears to be three levels of fees being charged by Chocolate
Fountain companies: Cheap, Medium and High End.
- Cheap ranges
from £199 - £500
- Medium from
£500 - £800
- High
End from £800 +
The
Chocolate Fountain Guild's Courses are designed and orientated for
Part-time or Full-time operators to charge within
the medium price band - around the £600-700 mark per event or
function (a night).
Why
around this 'medium' pricing structure?
There
are MANY reasons, but here are just a few:
1.
Operators charging anything less than £500 per event/function
are NOT making sustainable money/income for themselves (after costs
etc., are taken out, in other words a net amount).
2.Within
the Cheap ranges (£199 - £500) there is a price war
with operators undercutting each other on a daily basis. As a direct
result, in this price range you will see quite a few 'businesses'
up for sale on such sites as e-Bay. There is a good chance a Bride
or a Corporate that has booked one of these Chocolate Fountain companies
may not see the Chocolate Fountain company at their event or function
- "Gone Out of Business".
3.
Competition is good. Profit is good. Reinvestment back into ones
business is also good (for all concerned). At the 'Cheap' -end of the market useable
or meaningful profits cannot be ploughed back into the business to sustain growth.
The profits are very limited and tend to be just a few pounds, hardly
worth investing back. Those charging within the Medium and High
end brackets can and tend to invest sizable amounts to improve their
services and facilities on offer. This can and does benefits all
- clients and operator.
4.
With all the government taxes, rules and regulations, it is becoming
(overall) harder and harder to make a comfortable living. £600-700+
per event or function enables the entrepreneur to make a comfortable
living plus invest back into the business. In the Seminar/course
we demonstrate how to make with just ONE Chocolate Fountain machine
in excess of £100,000 per annum - a more than comfortable
living!
The
first part of the seminar includes a long session on Finance; how
to charge (breaking down the various charging components) as well
as why to charge the amounts we do for an event.
